The New Leaf Initiative C.I.C. is an award winning, not for profit Community Interest Company supporting people with convictions to move away from crime into work through education, training and employment coupled with person-centred holistic support.
Incorporated in November 2014, we have secured year on year growth ever since and are now entering a period of substantial development that requires us to increase capacity in terms of additional staff members, and the development and management of new projects.

Resettlement Mentor (Voluntary / 2 days per week / Expenses Based)
We are looking to grow our team of Resettlement Mentors to support and motivate clients who engage with the New Leaf Initiative, through transition from the secure estate and their resettlement process. Resettlement Mentors are responsible for developing and sustaining relationships with clients who sometimes access support for up to 18 months. Non-Executive Board Member (Voluntary – Finance Experience Essential)
We are looking for a Non-Executive Board Member with previous high level Finance experience to join our established team.
You will be responsible for helping to guide the organisation strategically through this next period of growth, supporting and challenging the Executive board in the day to day running and business development of New Leaf. In order to do this to the best of your abilities you will be required to attend bi-monthly Board meetings (first Tuesday of the month), in addition to utilising your experience and acting as a point of contact for advice and guidance.
It is particularly important that anyone who applies shares our ethos and values and as such you should exhibit a passion for social justice, as well as a decent/good understanding of the Criminal Justice System, its impact, current issues and need for reform, as well as a good understanding of complementary services and/or sectors.
